Biographical Sketch:
Son of Caspar and Christine (Schulte) Lingeman. He left school at the age of 15 when his father died and took over the family umbrella business. He later went into the real estate business. in 1915. He was Wayne County clerk from 1936 until the time of his death. He was one of the founders of Boysville, a home for juvenile delinquents, operated by Franciscan Fathers, near Brighton. During WWI he was in charge of rationing in Wayne County.
