Son of Henry and Maria Cook. He moved to Michigan in 1831. He lived in Clarendon with post office at Homer. He served as supervisor for many years. He married, purchased and moved onto a farm in Clarendon township. In 1882 they moved to the village. He was
5th president of the Village.
