Biographical Sketch:
Father of Charles Coles Diggs, Jr.. His Father was a missionary to Africa; his mother, a teacher in rural & parochial schools of Missippi & Louisiana. Began his embalming business in Detroit in 1921.

Notable Facts:
Convicted in 1944 of accepting bribes, and sentenced to prison. According to Senate Concurrent Resolution No 75, 1967 House Journal, p. 1403 he died 4/25/1967.
