Biographical Sketch:
Son of Joseph and Patience Rosetta (Freeman)Tyndell. He came to Oakland Co., MI with his parents in spring of 1833. He began his working life in the dry goods store of Hon. W. B. Arms as clerk, and subsequently became a partner continuing in business until 1861, when he sold out his share and bought a farm. He enlisted as a private in Co. L, 8th Michigan Cavalry, and was mustered out in 1865. He has been supervisor of his township for 8 years and secretary of the Monitor Insurance company for 6 years
