Biographical Sketch:
He grew up in Wakefield in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. He is the son of 2 teachers, Joe and Colleen Green. Served as business manager of Toys "R" Us; in 1994 when he interned for the city manager of Cedar Springs, Michigan and became active in the city's chamber of commerce. In 1995, Green became the real estate and community relations manager for Viacom Outdoor's Western Michigan region. He also served as Viacom's government affairs manager. Member of the Wyoming Chamber of Commerce and served chairman of the board of directors; member of the Lion's Club; Wyoming Jaycees.
Notable Facts:
In 1999, Green became the youngest elected official in the city of Wyoming's history. In 2003, he set another Wyoming electoral record, winning his re-election bid by the largest margin of victory ever in a race between two candidates, earning 83 percent of the vote.
1992, he won the prestigious Wall Street Journal Award given to outstanding college seniors.
