Biographical Sketch:
Son of William and Matilda (Denmont) Bradley. Worked 3 years in his father's store and 5.5 years in a printing office. From 1880-84, he was in the retail trade; 1884-1905, he was in the wholesale and retail grocery business. After 1905, he was exclusively in wholesale groceries. Served as mayor of Greenville in 1891 and alderman [1908].

Notable Facts:
Accused of bribery by Sherman M. Townsend, a former Sergeant-at-Arms of the state senate; an investigation was conducted; a resolution to expel him from the Senate failed on a vote of 14 to 15.
