Biographical Sketch:
Son of Rev. Edwin and Elizabeth Louisa (Fulmer) Foster.He learned the printer's trade in 1875-78 in Midland, MI. He moved to Gladwin in 1878 and took charge, as publisher, of the Gladwin County Record. He served as school assessor, member of board of education, clerk of Grout township, clerk of Gladwin village 5 terms, postmaster and mayor of Gladwin city 5 terms. Member of the Masons, Knights of Pythias, Order of the Eastern Star, Foresters, Ben Hurs, Loyal Guards and Woodmen. Active in the MIchigan Press Association.
