He engaged in real estate and insurance business from 1898. Served as a pvt. in Co. F of the 34th Reg., Michigan Volunteer Infantry. Member, United Spanish War Veterans; Freemasons; Order of the Eastern Star; Odd Fellows; Knights of Pythias; Maccabees; Foresters; Eagles.
