Biographical Sketch:
Of German ancestry. Son of Lorenz and ELizabeth (Boller) Snell. Early in his career he was a dealer in real estate, but later engaged in the dairy business and owning and operating the Log Cabin Creamery of Detroit. He was also a member of the firm of Snell & Seeley, which handled all vaccine cattle for Parke, Davis Co. He formed the Highland Park State Bank with Henry Ford and James Couzens. He served 2 terms as village trustee, and 4 years as justice of the peace, and was a member of the Michigan State Agricultural Society. Member of the Masons; Shriners; the Palestine Lodge, Detroit; and the Greenfield Tent of the Maccabees .
