Appointed a member of the state board of medical registration by Governor Pingree, serving 2 years; served as chairman of the county central committee for 4 years; member of the pension board for 2 years and the common council of the city for 2 years. Member of the American Medical Association and the State Medical Society; ember of the Masons and Knights of Pythias.
