Biographical Sketch:
Son of Daniel and Louisa [or Louicy] (Booth) Millen. After leaving high school, he was employed as dry goods clerk in Ann Arbor until 1888. He then entered the employ of the New York Life Insurance Company. He remained with this company 23 years, the latter part of the time acting as inspector of agencies. In 1911, he resigned this position to look after various business enterprises in Ann Arbor and elsewhere in which he was interested. He was vice-president of the Farmers and Mechanics Bank of Ann Arbor, and vice-president of the Dixie Portland Cement Company, of Chattanooga, TN. He served as chairman of the Washtenaw Co. War Board during WWI. Member, Freemasons; Scottish Rite Masons; Knights Templar; Shriners.
