Son of James Noble and Mary Irene (French) Sanborn. He was a first lieutenant in the U. S. Air Force Reserves stationed at Selfridge Air Force Base in the Judge Advocate General's Corps. He served as justice of the peace, 1951-56; supervisor of Clinton Township, Michigan, 1959; circuit judge in Michigan 16th Circuit, 1979-90. Member of the American, Michigan, Macomb County and Detroit Bar Associations; AMVETS; American Legion; Macomb County Humane Society; Goodfellows; Alumni Associations of the University of Detroit and Michigan State University; Unites States Air Force Reserves; Aircraft Owner's and Pilot's Association; Mt. Clemens Lodge No. 6, Masons; Hi-twelve Club; Y.M.C.A.; Macomb County Republican Committee.

Notable Facts:
Father of Senator Alan Bruce Sanborn. Attended both the First Methodist Church of Mt. Clemens and St. Isadore's.
