Biographical Sketch:
Son of Stanley and Gwenllian (Thomas) Thayer. His father served as a Methodist minister in South Haven while he was in high school. He served as a justice of the peace and acting municipal judge of Ann Arbor and Ypsilanit, 1957-58; Washtenaw County Republican Chairman, 1958-60. Member of the American, Washtenaw County, and Michigan Bar Association, Economic Club of Detroit, YMCA, Lions Club, NAACP, Moose, Phi Sigma Kappa and the Masons. He played in the University of Michigan marching band. A part of the Visitors committee of the University of Michigan. Washtenaw County Tuberculosis Association board member.
