Biographical Sketch:
He came to America in 1838 and settled in Haverstraw on the Hudson, near New York City. He did farm work and made bricks there. In April 1848, he moved to Springwells in Wayne Co.; in 1873 he movd to Nankin, MI. He held several township offices. He advocated for the establishment of BellE Isle Park, the wter works and the Detroit Board of Estimates.
