Biographical Sketch:
Son of Leonard and Amanda (Smith) Osborn. He practiced medicine in Ohio before moving to the Ontonagon County, MI in 1852. In 1868, he became assistant physician for the Calumet Hecla Mine. He served on the school board for several years and held various township offices. He retired to Detroit in 1897. Member of the Masons, Knights Templar

Notable Facts:
In 1887, he was the oldest practicing physician in the UP. He practiced medicine in the UP for 45 years. He died as the result of a stroke.
