Biographical Sketch:
Son of Lewis S. and Martha (Eldridge) Tyler. He moved to Genesee County, MI in 1836. He practiced medicine in Flushing, MI from 1850-69 when he relocated to Bay City. he was a member of the Genesee Medical Society and was on its board of censors. He also belonged to the state and national medical associations. He served as president of the Bay County Medical Society. He served as postmaster from 1856-60 in Flushing; and US Deputy Marshall during the Civil War, taking the census of the northern district of Genesee County. He was appointed to the state board of health by Gov. Begole, 1883-88; from 1885-88 he was on the board of medical examiners for pension claimants. He was a Mason
