Biographical Sketch:
He was a native of Bay City, MI. He owned Begick Nursery and Garden Center with his brother from which he retired in 1980. He taught landscape architecture at Delta College. He was a US Army Reservist and was a Colonel when he retired from the reserves. Served as legislative assistant American Association of Nurserymen Inc., Washington D.C. (1954-55). Member of Lutheran Laymen's League, Lutheran Fraternities of America, Kiwanis, Michigan Society of Planning Officials, Reserve Officers Association of the US, Military Government Association

Notable Facts:
Died in 1991. Involved in the creation of Saginaw Valley State University. HR 628, 1991 House Journal, p. 3080, indicated that he had died. No date or place of death. According th the Social Security Index he died 12/7/1991. Elected to the House of Representatives from Bay County in 1960.
