Biographical Sketch:
Moved to Hillsdale County with his parents in 1859. Son of Chester C. Ambler (1815-1905) and Margaret (Elgin) Ambler.
He established a law practice in Minneapolis, MN in 1867 but moved to Pentwater, MI in 1868. He served as village president and was a member of Neilsen & Co., bankers. He received A.M. degrees from both Adrian College and Hillsdale College in 1870 and 1875 respectively. He was a trustee for Hillsdale College, the youngest to that date. Moved to Cleveland, OH in 1893.
