Biographical Sketch:
He was the State Affairs Assistant Director for the Michigan Municipal League. He was the Legislative Director for State Senator Gary Peters and State Representative Paul Condino. He was the Public Information Officer for the Insurance Commissioner and Office of Financial and Insurance Services. He was the Ingham County Commissioner for five terms. He was a member of the Tri-County Office on Aging Board, SmartZone Board, and a founding member of the Ingham County Landbank. He ws chair for the South Lansing Community Development Association and the chair for the Capitol Caucus from 2012-2014. He was co-chair for the House Talent and Place Caucus. He served on Special Task Force on Common Core and House Democratic Education Task Force and was the finance chair for the House Democratic Campaign in 2015. Elected mayor of Lansing, 2017.
