Biographical Sketch:
She worked as a nurse in several hospital units including maternity, surgical and cardiac step-down. She was also actively involved at the schools her children attended volunteering as a coach and mentor to students. Today, she and her husband own[ed] and operate[d] a small collision repair business in Indian River and Petoskey. She served 3 terms as a Cheboygan County Commissioner. During her time in office she served on a variety of committees and boards including Cheboygan County Finance, Millage Appropriation, Area Agency on Aging, North Country Community Mental Health, District Health Department #4, Local Emergency Planning Committee, Northern Michigan County Association, and the Northeast Michigan Council of Service Associations (NEMCSA).
