Biographical Sketch:
He was a resident of Michigan in 1837/38 but moved back to New York and kept a hotel for 3 years, followed by 2 years in Harrisburg, PA. He sold patents (medicine?) until 1846 when he moved to Ontario, Canada. There he engaged in lumbering and ran a gristmill and woolen mill. In 1856, he made his home in Saginaw as a lumberman until 1865. he kept the Taylor house until 1870. He moved to St. Louis, MI and built the Eastman house, which he kept until 1870.
