As a paralegal, she specialized in criminal defense and family law. She and her husband also operated a small crop farm, custom hay baling and wrapping operation, as well as a deer processing business in the fall. She worked for Wm Burt Burleson, PLLC - Law Office, Criminal Defense Paralegal 2004-2015. She served as a Jackson County commissioner for the 1st District; active with several groups including the Jackson County Farm Bureau, the Springport FFA Alumni and Boosters, the National Association of Counties, the Criminal Justice Policy Commission, and Michigan Works!
