Biographical Sketch:
She served as a legislative assistant for Rep.Joan Bauer, 2006-10 and was Deputy Director with the Michigan College Access Network. She also served as a Ingham County Board of Commissioners, 2013-18. Member of the Capital Area United Way board; Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (Delta Tau Omega Chapter -- Lansing, MI); Michigan League of Conservation Voters (former Board member); Greater Lansing Food Board (former Board member); and a member of the Ingham County Democratic Party, Lansing Branch of the NAACP
Notable Facts:
The first African-American woman in Michigan's history to serve a partial term in the Michigan House of Representatives.
She served an additional partial term which did not count as a full term for the purposes of term limits.
