Was educated in St. Leo, St. Martin, and St. Ambross parochial schools. Upon completing his high school subjects, he studied under a private tutor.

Biographical Sketch:
Of Irish parents. He was the youngest of six boys in a family of eleven children. He learned the art of undertaking and embalming in the Griffith and Wade Mortuary. Has been county delegate three terms and was elected constable by approximately 9,000 votes.
