Biographical Sketch:
He was the son of August (a native of Saxony, Germany) and Therese (Mauch) (a native of Wurtemburg, Germany) Loeser. Came to Jackson in 1876 at the age of 19 and clerked until 1885, when he entered the restaurant business. In 1892, he became associated with the hardware business.. He was a member of the board of aldermen, and served 2 years on the board of county supervisors, 3 years as fire commissioner, and 3 years as police commissioner. He was a member of the Jackson Chamber of Commerce, the Masons and the Elks as well as the Loyal Order of Moose, the Maccabees and the Arbeiter Verein, a German Workingmen's Society. He was president of the Germania Building and Loan Association.

Notable Facts:
Born in Detroit on the site where the Wayne county Court House now stands. 1901 Manual, p.616, biography misspells his name as 'Losser'
