Biographical Sketch:
Johnson was a chief of staff for State Representative Bill McConico. He was a member of Mt. Pavan Lodge No.2, Highland Park Optimists Club, and the NAACP.
Notable Facts:
April 2017 indicted by the U.S. attorney in Detroit for fraud by paying as a staffer someone who did not actually work in his office, as a means of repaying a $10,000 loan. Pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit theft from a federally funded program in March 2018. Sentenced to 6-12 months in prison, followed by 3 years supervised release, plus restitution of $23,133.89 and $100 court fee. In Sept. 2018, after pleading guilty to conspiracy, he was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 2 years supervised release, in-home confinement. A second charge of theft from a federally funded program was dismissed
