Biographical Sketch:
English, Scottish and Welsh ancestry. Son of Horace C and Laura P. (Volker) Young. Moved to Ishpeming in 1872. Admitted to the bar, 1879. He was president of the Miners’ National Bank in Ishpeming. He served as prosecuting attorney of Marquette Co., 1886-96.

Notable Facts:
US Representative for the 12th District, 1903-1913. Resigned his seat, effective 5/16/1913.
