Biographical Sketch:
Son of George H. and Abigail Kendrick. His family moved to Michigan when he was 6. Enlisted in Co.A, 5th cavalry 8/18/1861; discharged 6/3/1865. he turned to farming at the end of the war but his health forced him to stop. He returned to teaching for 3 years before being confirmed an invalid. In 1880, he was elected justice of the peace.

Notable Facts:
Fought in 40 battles and wounded 3 times during the Civil War.
