Biographical Sketch:
Came to Michigan in 1834, settling near Granville in 1836. He was the first settler of Georgetown Twp. He worked for Brown & Britton lumber co. and in 1844 started a lumber business with his two brothers, Luman & Lucius. The village of Jenisonville was named for Hiram.
