Biographical Sketch:
Of Swiss and English descent. He moved to Alaiedon Township, MI with his parents in April, 1877. He was admitted to the bar in spring 1891; practiced law in Owosso and Eaton Rapids for 2 years before moving to Mason, 11/29/1892, staying until 4/22/1897. He moved to Nevada and practiced law there from then until 1898. At the beginning of the Spanish American War, he organized a company of infantry and was commissioned as a captain. He mustered out in September of 1898 and practiced law again in Mason, MI until 2/1/1902 when he moved to a farm in Vevay Township.
