Biographical Sketch:
Son of Tryphena (Banister) Kenny. He came to Michigan in 1842. He taught several terms in Macomb County and at Lapeer. Studied medicine and went into practice at Lapeer in 1848, where he resided in 1887. He was 3 years President of the village and twice Mayor of the city of Lapeer, School Inspector 7 years, and member of the Board of Education for 16 years.
