Member of the Kiwanis; Michigan Society of Planning Officials; Michigan Municipal League; Michigan Conference of Mayors; South Oakland County Mayors Association; Oakland County Republican Executive Committee. Recipient of "Ford Outstanding Citizen of the Year" Award in 1959. Chairman of the Vigilance Tax Committee of Michigan. Actively engaged in Oakland County Republican activities for 17 years.
