Biographical Sketch:
ame from Warren, Herkimer County, NY , in 1835 , and settled on a farm in Pittsford, Hillsdale County. He was frequently called upon to fill town offices . He was the first Supervisor in 1836, 1837 and 1838 , and also held it in 1840 and 1849. He was founder of the "First Presbyterian Church of Bean Creek,” afterwards the “Congregational Church of Hudson," and an elder or deacon for 40 years .
