His parents settled in Washtenaw Co., MI in 1834. He moved to Grand Rapids, MI in 1850. He was a timber agent for the State land office from 1859-65.
Notable Facts:
He was the Prohibition candidate for US Congress in 1890 and a member of the Michigan Prohibition Party Central Committee in 1887.
