Biographical Sketch:
Of American descent. Son of Obidiah Alma and Mary Elizabeth (Frost) Kelley. Came to Michigan in 1861. He did clerking and teaching until the fall of 1872 when he entered the medical department of the University of Michigan. After graduation, he located at Farwell, MI, May 1, 1875, and practiced medicine. He served as village trustee, president, supervisor for 20 years, and served several terms as the chairman of the board of supervisors. Member of the Odd Fellows

Notable Facts:
One of the first pysicians in the farwell area; did rounds on horseback. Said to have had a beard "one foot, 10 inches, from tip to snout..."
