2023 Career and Technical Education Outstanding Program Excellence in Practice Award Nomination

The Michigan Department of Education, Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE), is accepting nominations for the 2023 Excellence in Practice Awards, to be presented at the 2023 Michigan Career Education Conference on January 30, 2023, at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids.

We are pleased to announce that there are two categories of awards. The Career and Technical Education Outstanding Program Excellence in Practice Award recognizes a successful, exemplary, state-approved career and technical education (CTE) program that demonstrates outstanding outcomes, produces measurable results, and leads to documented success in employment, postsecondary education and apprenticeship.

The Career and College Readiness Initiative Excellence in Practice Award recognizes outstanding practices, programs, or services that demonstrate exemplary support of career/college planning for students (that include their interests, abilities, and skills), promotion of high academic expectations, and linking secondary course taking (including CTE) to preparation for postsecondary education and careers.
