Son of Calvin Fox. Came to Lapeer Co., MI in 1855. Moved to Mayville, Tuscola Co., in 1856. Managed general store for W. H. Fife in Mayville, 1867-68. Managed general store in Cherokee, IA, 1868-69. Returned to Mayville, 1869. He served as township Clerk, Fremont Township, 1870-77. Register of Deeds, Tuscola County, 1880-84.
