Biographical Sketch:
Son of John W. and Hannah (Brown) Botsford. He came to Michigan with his father around 1840. Practiced law for 8 years, specializing in pension claims. In 1870 he was living in South Saginaw, working as a lawyer.In 1880, he had a farm in Osceola twp, Livingston Co., MI. In 1883, he began farming in Bennington twp. He served as Bennington twp supervisor and clerk, as well as, Circuit Court Commissioner. He was active in the Patrons of Industry, and was Vice-President of the County Association and President of the Milling Association.
