Biographical Sketch:
Son of Adolph and Auera (Hansen) Heidkamp. Mayor of Lake Linden for over 20 years. Long associated in business& financial life of the Copper Country where he came in 1882. Passed away n St. Joseph's Hospital. Elected President of City of Lake Linden in 1896 and served 21 consecutive years in that office. He also served on the Schoolcraft Co. board of education and as president of the former Citizen Nat'l Bank of Houghton. He was considered one of the leaders of the senate and presided frequently as president pro-tem. Also a charter member of the Calumet Elks Lodge. Survived by several nieces and nephews including Robert Pierre Druecker.
