Biographical Sketch:
Son of Otis and ?? (Kinman) Gillam. After graduatinf, he went to Montague as a lumber inspector, later studying law in the office of Frank Braclin. He also assisted with the local paper in Montague. He also helped publish a local paper there. In 1885, he moved to Detroit where he worked for the Detroit dailies until Dec. 1886 when he purchased the 'Review' published in Harrisville, MI. He served as village president in Harrisville and as a member of the school board. in 1920 he was the secretary of the chamber of commerce in Niles, MI. In 1930, he was living in Miami, FL.
