Biographical Sketch:
He came with his parents, Friedrich and Caroline (Bernz?) Niedermeier, to Monroe county in 1852, and settled on a farm in Monroe Township, MI. Upon marrying, he moved to a farm in Berlin Township. He was elected drain commissioner in 1876, but resigned after an accident that caused the amputation of one of his limbs. He was supervisor 7 years; county treasurer from 1885-89.
