Biographical Sketch:
Son of Parker and Eliza (Burhans) Rulison. He moved to Wisconsin in 1855; spending 2 years in Wisconsin and Minnesota, he went to Kansas in 1859, remaining there 1 year. He then went to Colorado and unsuccessfully looking for gold. He returned to Wisconsin and taught school for 2 years. In 1886, he moved to Houghton County, MI, where he engaged in various occupations, spending most of his time in teaching, and clerking for a lumber and mill yard firm. He served as supervisor, school inspector, justice of the peace, county clerk and village trustee.

DIed of heart disease; death certificate gives birth year as 1833, 1897 Manual says 1834.
