Biographical Sketch:
Son of William and Jenn (Holmes) Moore. At the age of 18 he emigrated to Phelps, NY. During winters he made wheels for spinning flax, farming summers. He was the first justice there and served 16 years, and held other offices, moving to York, MI, in 1831. He was a delegate in the constitutional convention of 1835. He served in the war of 1812, as did his father in the revolution.
