Of Swedish and Norwegian descent. Son of Rep. Andrew F. Anderson & Maret (Bahle) Anderson. Taught at Manistique High School for 3 years. Organized the Leelanau County Association of Commerce & served as its first secretary. Served as supervisor of Leelanau Township. Member of the Masons, Odd Fellows, Eagles and also a charter member of the Traverse City Kiwanis Club.
