Son of John E. McCauley & Fern (Gibson) McCauley. Served as councilman in Wyandotte, 6 years and mayor of Wyandotte for 4 years. He was chair of the Wayne County Board of Supervisors and a delegate to the Constitutional Convention. Member American Legion; Veterans of Foreign Wars; Disabled American Veterans; Kiwanis; Eagles; Military Order of the Purple Heart; Greater Wyandotte Board of Commerce; Detroit and Michigan Bar Association; and the Southeastern Chapter of the Chamber of Commerce.

Notable Facts:
He received a Purple Heart. His last residence was in Grosse Ile, MI. Died of a heart attack.
