Biographical Sketch:
Moved to Freesoil, Michigan with his partents in 1883. Became a citizen in 1894.
After working in woods and sawmills he engaged in general store business in 1897. Served 16 years as postmaster in Freesoil and member of the board of education twelve years. Took up the business of furniture and funeral director in Scottville in 1916. he has served Scottsville 8 years on the board of education, 7 years as member of the council, as mayor , 2 terms and as coroner, 8 years.
House Resolution No. 23, 1952 House Journal, p. 922, reported that he had died. No date or place or place of death given.
