Biographical Sketch:
Son of William and Mary (Thomas) Harry. He was orphaned at age 12.Emigrated to New Jersey about 1861, working as a timekeeper in an iron mine. In spring 1863 he settled in Hancock, MI, working in the copper mines and learning to be a tinsmith. He started a tin, sheet iron, copper and hardware business in 1869 which he operated until 1890. He had banking and mining interests in Houghton County. Living in Detroit in 1900.
