Biographical Sketch:
Son of Charles and Catherine (Brantmyer) Glasner. The first 15 years of his life were spent on a farm. While attending school, he worked in a store during his spare time. At 18, he began teaching in the rural schools of Barry County and taught 4 years, after which he engaged in a mercantile business in Lacey, MI. He was postmaster there until he moved to Nashville, MI. He served as chairman of the Democratic county committee, deputy sheriff, village assessor 2 terms, justice of the peace, member board of county canvassers, and a member of the board of education. He is a member of the Masons, Knights of Pythias and the Grange
