Biographical Sketch:
Irish-American descent. He worked as an accountant-secretary for Lang wholesale company in Iowa. He later attended Rogers School of Arts in Fostoria, OH then traveled 7 years as their instructor, putting on productions in various places. He was organist for St. Martin's-on-the-Lake in Detroit for a number of years. He was a field clerk for the 15th decennial census, as well as a special unemployment survey in 1931.

Notable Facts:
Enlisted for World War I in the U.S. infantry at Waterloo, Iowa Died in office; killed in an auto accident.
