Biographical Sketch:
Son of Reuben and Margaret Tregallos (Riddle) Moore. He moved to Detroit in 1868 to read law for 6 months before moving to Saginaw to work at a lumber yard. In 1870, he moved to Toledo, OH to be bookkeeper for H.W. Sage & Co. for 3 years. In the fall of 1873, he returned to Saginaw for 2 years before moving to St. Clair to farm. In 1879, he bought the St. Clair Republican and was its editor for 17 years. He also operated a salt works, the Diamond Crystal Salt Co. Served as postmaster, superintendent of schools and union school board member; and supervisor of the first ward of the city of St. Clair.
